Lorie Grant is the Manager, Distribution Products, Guest Reservation System at InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG). She began her career in hospitality software over 20 years ago with property management systems where she worked in the development organizations for both Micros Fidelio (now Oracle) and Springer-Miller Systems. Lorie currently directs a team responsible for managing the CRS distribution roadmap, ensuring the end-to-end readiness of distribution functionality, and defining tools and processes for analyzing distribution data and performance. She has led numerous global projects which integrated hotel systems and central reservation systems with GDS and online travel agencies using the OpenTravel schema.
Over the last 15 years, she has championed efforts within both OTA and HTNG to define new messages and usage profiles. Most recently, she sponsored the OTA 2.0 models for booking and availability. Lorie is passionate about industry standards which decrease time to market while allowing trading partners to meet evolving business needs.
Lorie resides in Atlanta and outside work she can be found section hiking the Appalachian Trail and teaching computer skills to workers in Uganda who advocate for children’s legal rights.
