OpenTravel Publishes Version 2012B

OpenTravel Alliance (OpenTravel), the travel industry’s leading distribution specification and standards development organization, announces the publication of the 2012B message and business functionality schema.

Enhanced Airline Distribution Functionality

  • Additional indicator attributes are now supported for Air Travelers, including InfantOnLapInd, SSRInd, UnaccompaniedMinorInd, ETicketInd, OxygenRequiredInd, PetInCabinInd, GroupInd and ServiceAnimalInd
  • Seat information is now supported in row details.
  • "All" has been added as a cabin class type enumerated value
  • Fare basis code and reservation booking designator are now supported in flight segments

Enhanced Hotel Functionality

  • Prepayment rules are now supported for hotel group booking
  • Total commission for all rate segments is now supported in hotel reservations
