EXTENSION: Call for Nominations
Due to an unexpected outage of OpenTravel's email servers, the Call for Nominations for the OpenTravel Alliance Board of Directors will be extended by one week. Nominations will be open until Friday, January 20, 2017. The updated calendar for the OpenTravel Board of Directors election can be found below.
All nominations must be received by 5:00pm EST, Friday, January 20, 2017.
As a reminder, representatives from all OpenTravel member companies can be elected to the Board of Directors. Detailed information regarding the nomination process, eligibility, and participation on the OpenTravel Board are included in the Bylaws section of the OpenTravel Policies and Procedures Manual: OpenTravel Alliance Bylaws.
Please send all nominations directly to OpenTravel Executive Director, Matt Coffindaffer: firstname.lastname@example.org. Following receipt of the nomination, we will contact the nominee and request a bio and responses to a brief questionnaire.

The outage, precipitating this extension, was sustained through the evening of Monday, January 9, and affected the receipt and transmission of email messages, as well as our phone systems.
Although all servers are back online, our mail system will not be entirely caught up until all sending mail systems retry the messages queued for our OpenTravel addresses. Typically this takes place within 24 hours, but due to the duration of the outage, mail may have been abandoned by the sending mail systems. If you sent an email between Friday evening and Monday evening, please resend at your earliest convenience.
Rest assured, our IT Team continually evaluates the options available to the organization to add redundancy and mitigate downtime and takes everything learned from this experience into consideration.
